What a pleasure it was to see students from all over the country connect with our partners at the Department of Homeland Security and Office of Personnel Management for this year’s CyberCorps Scholarship for Service.
The Scholarship for Service is a program designed to recruit and train the next generation of information technology professionals, industrial control system security professionals and security managers for the federal government’s cybersecurity mission.
Thanks to SWERVE, students participated by submitting their resumes and scheduling interviews with recruiters from various agencies and departments based on keyword searches in the employers’ job descriptions. SWERVE also gave recruiters an easy way to search through the resumes and proactively set interviews with students who seemed to be a good match for their programs. Recruiters were able to meet the students in one-on-one meetings using SWERVE. All of this took place in a secure virtual environment.
For the three-day event, the AEIO team worked with 994 attendees, and on the last day, one of the recruiters told us it was the best virtual job fair they had ever had and was very impressed with SWERVE’s capabilities compared to other platforms they had used in the past.
